Oceanside, once considered a military town because of its proximity to Camp Pendleton, now enjoys a reputation as a tourist-friendly destination. Locals, families, and tourists alike enjoy Oceanside’s beaches and harbor. Its wide expanse of sandy, palm-covered beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, surfing, or simply romping in the blue Pacific. Oceanside’s beach is adjoined by “The Strand,” a main street that is excellent for strolling, rollerblading, or bike riding. Volleyball courts are set up along the beach, and the pier is considered excellent for surf fishing.

From sun up to sun down, you'll find surfers, sunbathers, beach rats, and beach lovers enjoying the widest and longest beaches in North San Diego County. Sun bathing, swimming, kayaking, sailing, fishing and surfing draw many to the beach fronting our condo, and walking & running on the beach are popular activities for many others.

The waves in front of our condo are among the best in Southern California. Step out the front door, take 75 steps, and you're on the sand facing some of the most consistent & rideable waves in the area, with well known breaks every block or two in either direction, including Oceanside Harbor, Oceanside Pier, Wisconsin, Forster at South Pacific (my personal favorite and at your doorstep), Oceanside Boulevard (at your doorstep, too), and Buccaneer Beach. Other nearby surf spots include: Upper & Lower Tressles, Old Man’s, T-Street ... all in San Clemente to the north, and Tamarack Surf Beach, Power Plant, Egor’s,Terramar, Carlsbad State Beach, and Ponto ... all next door in Carlsbad, and Moonlight Beach, Swami's, Cardiff Reef, Blacks Beach, La Jolla Shores, Windandsea, Ocean Beach, Sunset Cliffs, and many others ... between Encinitas and La Jolla to the south.

But, its the sand, the pelicans, the gulls & terns, the dolphins, the sunsets, and the ocean that make this place a great, great place to relax and vacation. And, the condo fits this location to a tee!
